Chris Ferera was born and raised in the relatively large shanty town of Riverside, California. He is the oldest of four brothers; Caleb, Jacob, and Tyler with no sisters; his poor mother. He was educated at La Sierra High School in Riverside where he received a football scholarship to Dakota Wesleyan University in Mitchell, South Dakota. Here in South Dakota was where Chris got his first taste of the arts in an undergrad acting course. After a football injury put his athletic career on the back burner, Chris began fully investing in the performing arts.
He graduated with a degree in History and Communications and immediately started working at a summer stock theatre company in Brookings, South Dakota by the name of Prairie Repertory Theatre. After directing and acting in over a dozen shows in the Midwest, Chris finally decided to move back to California where he earned his MFA at the New York Film Academy based in Los Angeles. Chris teaches, writes, is an avid traveler, and binges all things sports and film in his spare time.
